EUGENE, Ore. – Senior Libero
Mercedes Leclaire has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Libero of the Week, as announced by the CCC offices on Monday.
Leclaire had a season-high 32 digs on Friday night in a four-set loss to Warner Pacific and followed that performance with a 13-dig night against Concordia on Saturday. For the weekend, she averaged 5.6 digs per set.
This season Leclaire is on pace to break the school record for digs-per-set, averaging 4.78 which ranks second in the Conference. Leclaire leads the team with 392 digs this season and she is just 66 digs away from breaking the school record.
Leclaire is the all-time leader for digs at NCU with 1,514 in her career. This is the first CCC Libero of the Week honor given to Leclaire and only the second CCC player of the week honor ever given to a member of the Beacons.
