EUGENE, Ore. – Sophomore
Stephanie Hescock represented the Northwest Christian University women’s cross country program at the NAIA National Championships on Saturday.
Hescock took 147th place overall with a time of 20:13 on an extremely muddy Fort Vancouver course in Vancouver, Washington. She was 14th among athletes from the Cascade Collegiate Conference.
Head Coach Heike McNeil said, “Stephanie didn’t have a bad race by any means, it was just an extremely competitive race and the course had about two or three inches of mud that she had to contend with.”
Cascade Conference champion College of Idaho, who finished the season ranked #1 in the NAIA, took seventh place. The National Champion for the first time is Cal State San Marcos. Also out of the CCC, Concordia took 12th.
