Four School Records Fall at CCC Championship
Brandon Kundert
GRESHAM, Ore. – There’s something to be said for saving your best for last. In the final meet of the season the Northwest Christian University men’s distance track team made mince meat of the school record book, as four school records were broken.

Jeremy Aucoin took 15th place in the 400m run, but did it in record breaking fashion, finishing at 53.45 to top his own school-best mark. Brother Cody Aucoin did the same in the 800m run, topping his own school record with a 14th-place time of 2:00.56.

Also topping their own school record was the 4x400m relay team, consisting of the Aucoin brothers, Jason Bell and Levi Dieu. They finished in 9th place with a time of 3:36.39.

The final broken record went to someone getting his own record back. Brandon Kundert (pictured), the former record holder in the 1500m run, took 13th place in the event and took a huge four-second chunk off of the record held by Dieu, running a time of 4:19.23.

Also running on Saturday was Sam Robison in the 5000m, taking 18th place at 16:23.

NCU did not score any points for top-eight finishes and do not appear in the final standings. Concordia University won the CCC men’s championship with 260 points, beating second-place Eastern Oregon by 90 points.
