Spring Athletes Earn NAIA Academic Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northwest Christian University women’s golfer Ashley King (left) and softball player Brittany Robles (right) have been named National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Scholar-Athletes as announced by the NAIA offices on Monday.

King (Blue River, OR), a math major, earned double honors this season, also being named an NAIA scholar-athlete for women’s basketball.

Robles (Bend, Ore.) is also a junior and earns her first NAIA honor. She is majoring in teacher education.

To earn recognition as an NAIA scholar-athlete, a student must be nominated by their head coach, have achieved junior academic status and maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
