GRESHAM, Ore. – Three personal records were broken and
Michael Bennett had one more school record broken as the Northwest Christian University Men’s Distance Track team closed out their season at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships.
Bennett once again topped his own record in the 1500m, running an 11th-place race at 4:04.24. The freshman finishes an impressive rookie campaign in which he established three new school records in the 1500m, 800m, and 3000m Steeplechase.
Benton Urquart also closed out his first season on a high note, running the second-fastest 800m time in school history, a personal record time of 1:57.48. Other PRs were set by
Brandon Kundert in the 5000m (15:50) and
Rob Rich in the 10000m (33:50).
Also running over the weekend was
Sam Robison, finishing 23rd in the 5000m (16:22) and ninth in the 10000m (32:48).
The season ends for the Beacons with this event, a strong year in which a total of eight school records were broken.
