KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The record-setting 2010 season of NCU juniors Brooke Davis and Jenna Royce are now officially set in stone, as the NAIA softball record book was officially updated this week.
During her sophomore season, Jenna Royce made 20 relief appearances as a pitcher, the fourth most in NAIA history. Her name now appears alongside many of the best NAIA pitchers of all-time, as she was just five relief appearances short of the national record.
On March 13, 2010, Brooke Davis tied her own NAIA single-game home run record against British Columbia, hitting three out of the park. The acheivement has now been met 17 times and Davis is just the second player to do it twice in her career.
In that game, Davis broke and established a new NAIA record with 14 total bases, having hit three home runs and a double in the game against British Columbia. She broke a record of 13, held by herself and four others.
